This is a sad-pop song about a breakup caused by infidelity. I wanted the lyrics to be fragile and emotionally loaded. This song was based on a composition I created when I was around 13. I had always loved it so decided to tweak it. Who’s Lying Here was to be originally titled Eyes Can See and Ears Can Here after the chorus.
Lyrics:
Eyes can see and ears can hear how can you tell who’s lying here
There’s no way to redeem a man that won’t redeem himself you can say I was foolish that’s just blaming a victim. It’s out of my control, he’s not my puppet we all have souls
Eyes can see and ears can hear how can you tell who’s lying here
A Lier always lies and a cheater always cheats I shouldn’t have look around for the truth You said you were working I guess it wasn’t at your job I would never of known, not a single hint was shown
Eyes can see and ears can hear how can you tell who’s lying here
