Maybe I should of done this... or that... This song is about the feeling of looking back and feeling weighted down by your past. It's much more than a break up song, it's about moving on. There has to be change in live otherwise everything would stay stagnate. A look back of nostalgia here and there is harmless, however wallowing in what could of been is. The main message of this song is to move on. It's alright to visit the past here and there because it is part of you, but you as a person are much more than just that. You are your dreams and aspirations, the here and now, the future and the past, your passion, and your knowledge. You deserve more than just to put yourself in a box, you deserve to grow.
